As a builder we engaged JN for Dilapidated reports, defects inspections, expert reports, remedial and structural reporting. In particular, Andrew Fisher has been a blessing to deal with within 20 years of the industry he’s one of the best 👌
The most professional consultant team that i have ever worked with. Pleasure to deal with
When I first bought Stephenson's Mill an engineer was brought in who on inspecting the roof from the inside said that we would need to replace the whole roof with modern trusses with metal plates at the apexes. I said that we could not do that as I didn't have the money for that and we needed to preserve as much of the historical fabric of the building as possible. Naesha from J N Engineering Consultants came and on inspecting the roof was able to work with the historical elements of the roof. She was sympathetic to the history of the Mill & designed a supporting structure of new beams being laid on the stone walls interspersed with the old beams which couldn't take the weight of the roof any longer, in a north south direction, with new beams being mounted above these beams in an east west direction. The whole structure being held together with steel plates & bolts at every intersection. The whole structure with the old & new beams enhances the look of the roof. It was due to her creativity that I have the Mill in its current state.
